Thank you to NHN and Michael Wills for an incredible fundraising event last night at KO’Donnells. Thank you also to Scottsdale PD Chief Alan Rodbell, Bob Littlefield, Kathy Littlefield, Guy Phillips and Cora Phillips for showing up to support this event! The Littlefield’s are our Santa and Mrs. Claus for the Shop with a Cop events!! Also thanks to my Exchange members Carol Mertins and Tom and Tina Kawar and Debbie who came out! Thanks to Sue Somerville Hawes, Cooper Merrill, Katie Joy, Jason Bressler and so many more friends, colleagues and family who came out or bought tickets to support me and Jim Hill and AZLEOS to help hundreds of kids participate in Shop with a Cop. $28,000 was raised during this event!
Please buy your ticket to support AZLEOS Shop with a Cop. NHN members help volunteer at the event, bag the presents, and take 100% of the money that is raised during this amazing Happy Hour and pay for the kids holiday gifts. It is an amazing example of putting our community in community policing. This year their goal is 150 kids! Last year they sponsored 120 kids 🙂. Let’s help them meet their goal and help our cops connect with kids at risk. Thank you NHN!! Tickets are $30.

We are doing this on Thank a Cop day, even though its for the kids, because the secret is….The Cops love it as much as the kids. It is Chicken Soup for their Souls. They love volunteering every year for this event.
If you can’t make it, but still want to donate to Thank a Cop through this program, please go to our website AZLEOS.org and donate on line, or please stop by and make a donation the day of the event. Every dollar donated is used for this program.
AZLEOS Shop with a Cop is an event for our underserved youth in our communities, where they get to pair up with law enforcement and have a hot breakfast at a community college, take photos in the snow with Princesses, Star Wars Characters and Superheroes, then they go on a trolley and meet their officer at a local store and are given $100 to shop for Christmas gifts for themselves and their families.

The donation will be used to purchase back to school items to fill 200+ backpacks, as well as gift cards, for students to purchase a new pair of shoes for the upcoming school year. “AZLEOS Project Blue back to school supply drive is an excellent example of the positive impact that can take place when community members bond together to support our local youth and neighborhoods,” said attorney Kevin Rowe. “We’re proud to be part of this project and for the opportunity to show our support of the men and women in blue who go above and beyond daily to serve, protect and give back for the betterment of our communities.”
Please contact Cindy Hill via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for a detailed list of needed school supplies, and for more ways to donate and support the 2016 AZLEOS Project Blue – Back “Pack” to School supply drive.
Starting Friday, July 1, 2016 AZLEOS will be working with Right Honda & Right Toyota to fill 200+ backpacks for kids in Maricopa County that need the help of the community to go back to school in August. MCCCD PD and local police officers will be delivering the backpacks to the children and families who need them to build positive relationships.
